The 20-kilometer challenge is ment for anyone who has ever embarked on trail adventures that required a little more effort. It contains two ascents, the first will take you to Kobla, and the second to saddle Suha, under Črna prst. Trust us, you won't regret it. These two climbs will reward you with a fantastic view. Right in front of you you will see Triglav, as well as sea side in the distance.

Route

The route of the trail starts infront TIC Podbrdo, in the old village center of Podbrdo. It runs on military mulatiere, to Ava, where the road turnes to homestead Hoba. From Hoba, trail run continues to Kovce, where you will be greeted by the first volunteers and a snack station. From Kovce, you head towards the saddle Vrh Bače. Here you can start to see the first gilmps of wonderful views over Baška Grapa and the hills of Cerkno. From the saddle Vrh Bače, following a steep ascent to Kobla you continue towards the saddle Suha, below Črna prstja. The views will overwhelm you, as you will have the Julian Alps and Karavanke in the palm of your hand on one side and sea on the other side. Another snack station awaits you on saddle Suha. From there to Kalarsko Brdo and then the journey continuous through Kacmpoh to Bača straight to Podbrdo, all the way back to the main event area.


REFRESHMENTS

At the Podbrdo trail running festival, we strive to reduce the negative impact of the festival on the environment, so single-use cups will not be available at the refreshment stands. Runners must have their own water bottle, cup or camel bag. Upon registration, it will also be possible to purchase a reusable cup (5€).

There are 3 refreshment stations on the trail. Water, energy drinks, light snacks. At the finish line, a hot meal and a drink awaits the participants.

For the run you can register electronically or at the registration desk on the day of the event. On the day of the event, the entry fee is higher and the the gift package can not be guaranteed. Registration is valid only with payment of the entry fee. The number of applications is limited to 100 participants.

The first three in the general classification receive a medal. The organizing staff have the right to make changes.


MANDATORY EQUIPMENT

Inspection of equipment will be mandatory when collecting starting numbers or at any time during the competition. The organizing staff marks each competitor with a special sticker to ensure that the equipment has been checked. In case of bad weathe, staff also has the right to prescribe additional mandatory equipment, necessary for the safety of the runners, no later than one day before the competition.
