You can get to Podbrdo from Štajerska via Ljubljana, past Škofja Loka and Železniki, OR from Gorenjska via Sorica. From the coastal end (Koper, Nova Gorica) there is access via Most na SočI and through the Baška grapa to Podbrdo.
